I will be keeping track of my challenges here on my blog and on 43Things.com. Join me as I experience the next year as if I am living a reality show of my own making!
KEY: Bold & Blue Means Goal Completed! Bold and Red indicates that it just didn't happen. Tried this, but still working at it at some level! Purple means it is moving to my next list!

- Run My First 5K - Walked my first 5K... slow start but by the end of my 41st year I will be running!
- Turn off the TV one Week a Month (this will be hard to convince my husband to do!) This did not happen. We were too into TV. I am turning it off more, but it is still a presence.
- Journal Daily (even if it is just ONE word). I wrote more this year than ever. It was actually a splendid year of writing.
- Write a REAL Letter to a REAL Person Once a Month - this was fun. Not sure if I need this as a goal, but I love the handwritten note!
- Finish Nanowrimo in November. - Not in the cards for me this year. Good ideas though.
- Say YES! - (At least more often than I say no) And Document What Happens.
- Take a Dance Class (I am doing this at Soul Motion Studio)
- Practice Being Curious, not Judgmental.
- Celebrate the Unexpected (Everything deserves celebration! Break out the Birthday Candles!)
- Practice Paying Attention (Never do anything else while someone is talking to me)
- Join a Group (or rejoin a group) and Go to Every Meeting (church? book club? Something new?) Book club and church returned to my life.
- Get my First Massage - still too nervous to do this.
- Do one "art" project this year (interviews, photos, free hugs in the park, painting... something) and document it. Built a beast in the park.
- Make a List of Food I haven't Tried and Try All of Them - I ate beets... that should count for something!
- Be Generous (Time, Things, Money - Even When it is Really Hard)
- Create A Tribe Retreat with My Friends (Like This Lovebomb Retreat) Went to an amazing book club retreat!
- Entertain (casually) at Least 5 Times at our Home (book club, cookout, dinner party...) We did this once and it was a big deal - 5 times might have been pushing it!
- Get my Passport (and one for everyone in the family) We got Paige's... one small step!
- Speak in Public Somewhere I Haven't Spoken Before or On A Subject I Haven't Spoken About (10/6/09 - Spoke to Eureka Springs Rotary)

- Finish my Dad's Probate - Still working on it.
- Save a Nest Egg (Starting from Zero - Let's See Where we can Go!) Have a little more than I had before. This is getting easier.
- Do a Daily To Do List - (The Goal isn't to DO everything, but to download it from my mind)
- Hug one new person a week (preferably someone I have not hugged before) (Submitted by Melodye!!!)
- Take photographs of the challenges to create a book of this amazing 40th year. (Great suggestion!) - I took a few.
- Learn to play chess - still haven't done this... not sure if I want to.
- Let go and love (let my Dad go, let my Mom go, let my notions go, let it all go and love) - I feel better about this... it is a process, but I have made huge steps.
