Also, did you know today is Blasphemy Day - I am not sure how I feel about that. I think respect of others beliefs is tantamount to an evolved society. What do you think about Blasphemy Day? The purpose they state is: The objective of International Blasphemy Day is to open up all religious beliefs to the same level of free inquiry, discussion and criticism to which all other areas of academic interest are subjected.
I think that is noble - I just am not sure how I feel about overly offensive tactics to get people to "think" - or being blasphemous to get attention. Respect in dialog is an important part of change - without it we are all just shouting our "beliefs" at people.
So, today is the day to say the "unthinkable" if you care to.
