Wild Turkey!

No, I'm not drowning my sorrows! We had a wild turkey in the yard on Friday. She was beautiful. We have seen turkeys before, but usually in a flock (are they called flocks?) in the fall. She was alone and just walking about.

I think she is a great start to a rocky new year!

A Roller Coaster Ride

Well, it has been quite the month.

My father fell on December 12 and has a sub dermal hematoma. He then developed hospital strain pneumonia in the ICU.

My sister flew in from California.

We transferred him to our local hospital and he was pretty comatose for most of that time.

He woke up a bit on Christmas.My special present the hospital staff would say.

Then back to a comatose state. He developed pneumonia again and the family, after many consultations with the hospital, chose not to treat it.

Then four days ago he woke up again.

So... no more tears... for now.

We are just taking it day by day.

Thank you to everyone for your kind notes. It has been beyond difficult, but I am managing.
