Dropping MORE stuff off at the thrift store! We spotted the cutest embroidered runner with two cats. $1.50 and a good washing with Tide we were able to look at this cutie in all it's glory. We dissected the crocheted edges, the stitches, and the weight of the cloth. My husband said we sounded like Craft Geeks. I think we are. We are learning new crafts and it is fun for us to comb through a piece and see if we can figure out how they did it. The sign of a true Craft Geek, I guess.
Then I had the brilliant plan to start a sourdough starter. I was reading this when I found a recipe for Sourdough Pancakes. I have never had them and I thought the idea sounded appealing. So, we are in day 2 of our starter. Home being San Francisco makes us automatically sourdough lovers, so starting my own seems a weighty task. My biggest fear: my husband throwing the gunk up thinking it was a recipe gone bad. Gotta love a guy that cleans up.
Loved the book although I don't think I cut it as a farm wife... I can't imagine getting out of bed before 7:30 and I really prefer to slide out after 9:00. Guess I am not farm wife material. I would LOVE to be, but it just hasn't happened for me yet.
