I took a little Snowliday for the weekend. We very rarely get snow in Arkansas and when we do I just revel in it. Growing up in California weather just didn't exist so I am thrilled with each changing season here in the Ozarks.
I read, did Sudoku puzzles, watched the Olympics, ate, walked miles in the snow, napped, and loved every minute of it.
My Sparkly Girl was "kidnapped" on the first day of the snow by her beloved Mr. Pot and then they couldn't bring her back because of ice on the roads so we were uncomfortably without her during our snowed in moment.
It was a glimpse into the future when she goes off to college. My Partner in Kindness and I stared at each other a lot and tried to figure out what to do without her. I realize how devoted we are to her and have been for 15 years... We will have to find new things to occupy our lives when the time comes. It will be a time of reinventing our relationship. How exciting!
I did do a lot of thinking about home making, crafting, decorating and the like and while those thoughts continue to percolate in my mind I will post them at a later date. Until then, enjoy the weather!
