Last night my little family watched The Constant Gardener and was amazingly touched by the injustice of it all. It isn't just the AIDS or the poverty or the violence. It is how we are either profiting from those things or we are doing nothing at all. It truly makes our crisis moments seem trivial.
The bigger question then is how to help. Oprah and Bono are doing many things to support the people of Africa. What can we as individuals do. Why aren't we just doing that now? How many more people will suffer as we sit in complacency?
Watch the film and think about solutions.
